Local Country Walks From The Estate
Wolds Wine Estate is a perfect location for a walking holiday With two footpaths crossing the estate you can put your hiking boots on and head straight on the path for adventure.
If you would like to borrow a walking map please do ask, however, below you will find a selection of routes you can enjoy. Most of which involve a pub stop – happy times!
To The Plough at Normanton
The Plough at Normanton is a great country pub with huge beer garden. There are a number of ways to get to The Plough with routes between 40 minutes and 2 hours. Each route starts from the main entrance gates. Turn left to go down Stanton Lane to do the pavement or short cross-country route, or head up Browns Lane to do the long cross country route. Please note all routes involve a short walk along a road without a pavement – torches advised if doing at night.

The Plough at Wysall Circular
The Plough at Wysall is a cosy country pub with nice patio area. This is a circular walk which takes about 3 hours covering 9 miles.
The way back might take a bit longer depending on how many pints you have. You will take in a lot of our wonderful countryside so it is definitely worth it.

To Clipston & Normanton stopping at Harkers and The Plough
An 8 miles / 3 hour walk stopping at our wonderful local farm shop and The Plough at Normanton. Option to add a stop at the village of Cotgrave to stop off at another pub on route. There is also a short cut available.

Chocolate Lovers Walk To Kinoulton & Hickling (with 2 Pub Stops)
A long walk for Chocolate Lovers which stops at Sarfield’s Chocolaterie who serve lunch, teas, coffees and very chocolaty Hot Choco. Two country pubs are also on route for those wanted a different kind of liquid refreshment.

Golf Course Circular
A circular walk around the local golf course at Stanton-on-the-Wolds. Nice country views and walks through wooded areas.

The Griffin at Plumtree
Another great pub not too far from us (1 – 1.5 hour walk there). The Griffin is a high end country pub with great food and drink selection and a nice beer garden.

Keyworth Nature Reserve and The Salutation Pub
A circular walk through the Keyworth Nature Reserve and passed The Salutation Pub. Also goes through the Square in Keyworth where there are cafes and shops.
