Relax on the Vineyard Estate
You deserve a break so make sure you unwind and relax on our 9 acre Estate with your private luxury lodge. Staying at an English vineyard is a magical experience and we will be happy to give you a vineyard tour.
Share a bottle of wine as the sun sets over the vineyard, sun rise yoga on your private deck, sitting by the camp fire toasting marshmallows; there’s plenty of ways to relax at Wolds Wine Estate!
Want to venture a bit further out? Ragdale Hall Spa and Eden Hall Spa are a 12 minutes and 18 minutes drive away.


Active in the Countryside
- By Foot: With a footpath going through the Estate you are ideally located to slip on your walking boots and head out across the Nottinghamshire Wolds. There are also great walks in the Vale of Belvoir with views of Belvoir Castle. Don’t forget to stop off at some of the welcoming country pubs for a refreshing pint or glass of wine.
- By Bike: Grab your bikes and ride! There are some super cycling routes around the Vale of Belvoir and South Nottinghamshire. We are well situated for you to head out and beat those Strava records. We’ll even provide you with a place to store your bike.
- Golf: With Stanton on the Wolds Golf Club just down the lane, is there a more perfect place to stay where you can get 18 holes in and then enjoy a lovely bottle of wine?
Country Pubs & Restaurants
- The Salutation at Keyworth: A great British pub serving food and drinks. (1.5 miles)
- The Griffin at Plumtree: A traditional village pub where diners and drinkers alike are welcome. (2 miles)
- The Plough at Wysall: A family run, traditional free house village pub with a stunning garden. (4 miles)
- The Rose & Crown at Cotgrave: A traditional, warm and homely country pub with cozy open fireplaces. Serves award winning Indian food in the evenings. (4.8 miles)
- The Tap & Run at Upper Broughton: Owned by England and Nottinghamshire cricketers Stuart Broad and Harry Gurney, and winner of best casual dining venue 2019 (4.8 miles)
- The Alehouse at Old Dalby: The home of the Belvoir Brewery. Great beers, food and small farm shop. (6.8 miles)
- Dickies Farm Dining at Plungar: A superb butcher’s that also offers breakfasts and fine dining. If you are on a cycle it is worth a stop in for a weekend full english breakfast (14.5 miles)


Local Attractions
- Belvoir Castle and The Engine Yard: Spend a day exploring the castle and then enjoy artisan shopping, pampering, eating and drinking in the heart of the stunning Vale of Belvoir. A wonderful experience.
- Lakeside Clay Shoots & Fishing: Participate in some countryside pursuits and bring back a fish for supper.
- Harker’s Farm Shop at Clipston: Established in 1954 the shop is situated on working farm offering breath-taking views, a play park and animals to admire.
- Holme Pierrepont Country Park: Home of the National Water Sports Centre there is something for everyone from White Water rafting to Sky Tykes for the little ones. Ready for an adventure?
- Robin Hood: Explore the legend of Robin Hood with trips to Sherwood Forest, Nottingham Castle and The Robin Hood Experience.

Village, Town and City Life
Situated on the edge of the countryside we can suit the tastes of the country mouse and town mouse. We are well served by the bus and taxi for you to enjoy the nightlife. Here are some of the local towns to explore:
Ruddington: A superb little town with a country park, bars, museums and a fantastic market once a month.
West Bridgford: Home of Nottingham Forest and Trent Bridge Cricket Ground, visit West Bridgford for sports & trendy bars.
Melton Mowbray: Bidding to be England’s Rural Capital of Food and famous for it’s Pork Pies and Stilton Cheese. A traditional Market Town.


For the Kids
We hope your kids will enjoy being in the outdoors and exploring the 9 acre site. But here are a few suggestions if they want to spread their wings a little more:
- Keyworth Skate Park: Ideal for Tony Hawk fans. A small skate park down the road to practice your Ollies, 180s and Nosebones.
- Horse Riding: Riding lessons at the local stables and special school holiday activities.
- Muddy Feet Forest School: Outdoor play and learning…Muddy Feet are compulsory. Get your feet muddy in their free-range playgroup, Forest School and holiday sessions.
- National Space Centre: An out-of-this-world family experience!
- Green’s Windmill & Science Centre: A restored and working 19th century tower windmill with a small science centre. Be sure to buy their award winning flour.
- White Post Farm: Feed and pet the cute animals…and the scary ones too if you are brave enough!
