Description
Join us for an evening tasting our fantastic wines along with a cheeky Port all paired with artisan British cheeses. We’ll talk about how to taste wine, discuss food and wine pairing and we’ll be tasting a classic Port and Stilton combination. We’ll be tasting wines, ciders, port and cheeses plus some extra nibbles too, and don’t forget the mince pies!
The tastings will be held on Saturday 9th November (Now Sold Out) and Saturday 30th November starting at 6pm and last roughly 2 hours. They will include:
- A generous tasting of 4 wines produced on the Estate, our Estate cider and a classic Port
- Each drink will be paired with an artisan British cheese and there will be crackers and nibbles on the side
- The tastings will be guided so that you learn along the way but also be very light hearted and a lot of fun
- Estate wines and cider can be purchased after the tasting on the day at a discounted price – perfect for Christmas pressies!

Public Transport
Taxis: We would highly recommend booking a taxi for both journeys to/from Wolds Wine Estate in advance of your visit. Use your favourite taxi firm, or an Uber is usually 5-20 minutes away from us. If booking a taxi please do leave some time for the tour to overrun in case of any late starts or for you to finish your wines.
Bus: We are well served by The Keyworth by Trent Barton bus which goes through Nottingham City, West Bridgford, Tollerton, Plumtree and Keyworth. From the bus stop we are a 13 minute walk.
Train: The two main stations close-by are Nottingham and Loughborough. Both are about 20-25 minutes drive from the Estate. Nottingham Station in better connected with public buses (The Keyworth by Trent Barton bus).
Parking
You can park for free at the vineyard but please do advise us in the check-out if you are planning on parking. Please follow signs on the day.
Clothing & Footware
We will be in a rustic barn which will be heated. However, please bring warms clothes just in case.
Late Arrival
We aim to start tastings on-time to ensure people make taxis/buses/trains. If you arrive late the tasting may have started but please make your way to the tasting barn to join in.
Accessibility
Parking and arrival ground is a little uneven (and potentially slightly muddy) however there is good accessibility into the barn.
Children
Due to the nature of the event where alcohol is consumed, we do not allow children under 18 to attend. So leave the kids at home.
Dogs
Unfortunately we do not allow dogs on the tastings.
